Northwest turned in a 2-0 week with wins over Missouri Western and No. 12 Central Missouri. The continued push from the Bearcats has them climbing the polls and bringing in weekly awards.

The 'Cats (9-1, 2-0 MIAA) jumped up to No. 11 in this week's AVCA Top 25, up four spots from No. 15 last week. This is the highest ranking in program history.

Junior Maddy Ahrens and Hallie Sidney were also recognized by the MIAA for the second time this season.

Ahrens is the conference's specialist of the week after posting 11.33 assists and 2.44 digs per set against Missouri Western and Central Missouri. She also delivered a team-high seven service aces in both wins.

Sidney is the MIAA Co-Hitter of the Week with 4.89 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .260. She recorded 23 kills against Missouri Western and 21 in the victory over Central Missouri.

Northwest will play a pair of road matches this week, first with Pittsburg State Friday, followed by Missouri Southern Saturday.
